America can't keep funding Ukraine's war
Think about the future of America before giving more money to war.
I don’t think America should be involved in this war. Despite what some may believe, rejecting the wisdom of America supporting Ukraine in its struggle against Russia does not automatically make one pro-Putin. It doesn’t make one anti-Ukraine either. Let me give you some reasons why it would be the best move for America to just sit this one out.
Diverting the funds allocated to Ukraine's next aid package would allow the United States to address its own pressing needs. With mediocre infrastructure, growing public distrust of institutions, and economic woes at home, it's high time we prioritize ourselves instead of squandering precious resources on a distant conflict as our nation crumbles.
America is not in good shape overall, so why are we risking World War 3 with a nuclear Russian bear by giving aid to their enemy? So far, “since the war began, the Biden administration and the U.S. Congress have directed more than $75 billion in assistance to Ukraine” and “nearly $37 billion in military aid since Russia invaded in February 2022.”
By cutting off aid, the United States would send a strong message that it will not meddle in other nations’ affairs anymore. Operational blowback has been a common historical problem for the United States. Let Europe fend for itself and learn the harsh realities of the world. It's time for them to step up and take responsibility for their own defense.
Ending aid to Ukraine could serve as a warning to other nations that rely on American generosity. It's time for them to find their own solutions and stop expecting handouts from the land of the supposed free. The United States should not be an ATM for the world. Let’s be honest… War is money, baby! This is a massive money-making operation for governments, defense contractors, and central banks at the expense of average American taxpayers.
