California DOJ Leaked Concealed Carry Weapon Permit Holders' Names and Addresses; Class-Action Lawsuits Coming Soon
California gun owners are furious and preparations for class action lawsuits are underway.
On June 28th, the California Department of Justice (DOJ) leaked a list of concealed carry weapon (CCW) permit holders’ personal information on their website. The information included the names, addresses, and ages of CCW permit holders in the state. Though the list was quickly taken down, the damage had already been done. It’s safe to say that list is still out there somewhere.
California gun owners are reasonably upset, especially since the US Supreme Court just recently ruled in favor of strengthening the Second Amendment and concealed carry. As such, the California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA) and the Gun Owners of California (GOC) are coordinating to gather victim names for a potential class-action lawsuit against the California government. Anyone who is interested in learning more or who wants to become a plaintiff may proceed here.
