In a Shocking Upset, Republicans Sweep Through Virginia to Victory

The newest governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general in the state are now all Republican.

With 99% of the vote in, Glenn Youngkin has defeated Democrat and former Virginia governor Terry McAullife.

Additionally, Virginia will now have a Republican lieutenant governor and attorney general. Winsome Sears, a black Marine Corps veteran, and Jason Miyares, a Cuban-American attorney, will now join Glenn Youngkin in leading the state of Virginia.

Virginia’s election results have raised doubts into the Democrat’s future moving into the 2022 midterms.
