The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was officially established after President Truman signed the National Security Act of 1947 into law. The CIA’s official responsibilities include:

• collecting foreign intelligence

• producing objective analysis

• conducting covert action, as directed by the president

Despite operating for less than 100 years, the CIA has participated in a long list of tragic and monstrous events. This series will explore the CIA’s dark history in weekly content episodes.
