The Trump administration has been in power for roughly 5 months. Some accused the FBI and DoJ of covering up for and protecting the Epstein child predator pedo ring.

Pam Bondi reached out to Patel via letter, blamed the FBI's Field Office in New York, and demanded all the files by 8 AM the next day.
Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) took advantage of the chaos. He excoriated Bondi and the rest of the Trump administration in a letter.

This document dump, which was redacted ostensibly to “protect victims,” was sold to the American people as a fulfillment of President Trump’s promise of government transparency. It was rightly met, however, with widespread ridicule from across the political spectrum as a ham-handed attempt to gaslight the American people.

FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino were once skeptical of the details of Epstein's death.
Now they’ve done a 180-degree move, assuring the American people that Epstein killed himself.
Further, they claim that there’s a video that proves Epstein was alone before he died, confirming that he did kill himself.

Maria Farmer, an artist and alleged Epstein victim, filed a lawsuit against the federal government. She accused the FBI of negligence, pointing to an agent who didn’t take her seriously and never followed up with her. She is one of many alleged victims of Epstein who are now seeking justice against the agency.
A similar suit has 28 plaintiffs accusing the FBI of “gross negligence and reckless indifference” to Epstein and his associates’ sex abuse and trafficking. Epstein’s sex trafficking would not have persisted for decades had the FBI done its due diligence.
People have been aware of the FBI’s corruption for years. If a rogue field office can throw a massive monkey wrench into the gears of one of the biggest stories in modern history, then there’s no doubt that there’s a need for systemic reform.
The fascination over Epstein’s death and connections has not subsided. The shell game and drip feed with seemingly little to show for it after months of waiting may have made things worse. It would explain the anger and hostility that everyday Americans across this country have for these people and institutions.
